One Week Away...

Ashlyn was down at CHOP this morning for her pre-visit appointment. It was a stressful time for her, and we were unable to get the EKG or blood pressures. Her pulse ox was only 72%, but that was with her being upset. The chest x-ray and blood draw went quickly though, and we left by lunchtime. The hospital will call us Tuesday night and give us eating instructions as well as the time to arrive on Wednesday morning for her heart cath.

It's hard to believe that Ashlyn's final heart surgery is just one week away. We have been so blessed and overwhelmed by the support, thoughtfulness, generosity and prayers of our families as well as our friends and church family. We appreciate your continued prayers for...

• Ashlyn that she would remain healthy this next week and stay strong throughout her recovery



• Dr. Spray, her surgeon, and all of the hospital staff involved with her care



• Branden, that he will handle the changes in routine well



• Eric & me, that we will rely on the Lord and be a strong support to Ashlyn, and also for safety for Eric as he will most likely be traveling back and forth to CHOP frequently
